Demark Jenkins, West Side's senior baseball and football 2-way star, stays committed to Bowling Green State University...Some thought that he would have a change of heart after getting other offers from some other top notch universities...Nebraska, Purdue and Illinois tried to snag Jenkins after he verbally committed to BGSU back in December but he stayed the course.
The West Side Senior said that he likes being in the pass-happy system and he was told that he would be able to play baseball as well...he has been clocked in the 90's throughout high school and was a standout for West Side...so he will get a chance to be a two-way athlete...
Jenkins is ranked #258 by scout.com even though he played QB his senior year in high school, they list his 40 time as 4.52 and he stands 6'3 and weighs about 190...so he will be a huge target for BGSU QB's and should be able to get away from defenders with his speed...and he should get taller and stronger...that will help him increase his options when the NFL comes calling in a couple of years, or maybe a MLB team, following in fellow 91' West Side Grad...Latroy Hawkins choosing to career in Pro Baseball.
Good Luck at Bowling Green, DeMark..send me a photo so I can update the site.

What's wrong with the Post-Tribune and The Times
What happened to the reporting of the Gary HS B-ball games...How do you stay on top of who won or lost online? I can get Chicago HS sports, but not Gary Teams... What's wrong with The Post-Tribune and The Times?
If it was some negative information...it would make the front page...but if it is no incidents negative...we will never be able to find out...at least on their online edition, don't know anything about the paper editions...that is what I am going to try to accomplish...maybe I can get back to reporting the positive issues in sports and not the negative stuff....
That is my mission!
I promise!
Help me help you...so if it is something going on that I should know, please send an email to gisportsonline@gmail.com thanks in advance.
