What now that all my favorite high schools seasons are done...what do we do?

Well for me...it is time to focus on my favorite team of all-time...the chicago cubs.

I don't know about you but I am really looking forward to the season...everytime I turn on the radio, I get all geeked up when it comes to the cubs...

I am thinking that this year is the year, what do you think?

East Chicago Central's run end in the 4a Regional Championship

I got a phone call this morning from one of my buddies talking about how East Chicago Central collapsed in the final 2 1/2 minutes of the Championship game and how this South Bend Riley team came back from 10 points in the final 2 minutes and he simply couldn't believe it.

I mean we are talking about the defending 4a state champs, right? He said he couldn't believe what he saw...all he said is I worry about Angel Garcia playing at Memphis next year, does this guy have the big play/big game mentality...when he at 6'11 should have taken over the game, ECC's leading scorer was the one I have been telling everyone about...the little guard that has the biggest heart I have saw in a long-time...Derrell Conner scored 22 to lead the Cardinals, who stands about 5'9...makes me think of another little guard that is in the NBA, uhhhhh Alan Iverson.

South Bend Riley will be headed to Semi-State and see if they can continue their winning streak after beating the defending State 4A Champs East Chicago Central 61-60 on a last second shot at the buzzer over Garcia...just for the record, Kawann Short, EC's big man...who is headed to play D1 football at Purdue next foul missed the front end of 4, 1 on 1's and like I always tell people...If you can't hit those free throws, you aint going to win the game...they don't call them FREE throws for no reason.
