American gave Tennesse just about everything it could handle but not enough to knock out the #2 seed

American threw everything at Tennessee it could handle but after the Volunteers wore American down in the final few minutes of the game it looks more like a blow out in the box scores by Tennessee but that simply was not the case.

Tennessee who was only ahead by 2 points 53-51 with 5 minutes left in the 2nd half... held the little school that could to only one basket and some free-throws down the stretch.

In the end it was all Tennessee
Tennessee Volunteers 72
American Eagles 57

Indiana Notables:
Steve Luptak a freshman guard from Munster HS, in Munster, Indiana who averaged less than a point a game this year...didn't touch the stat line...I really don't think he played, but what did you expect from a team that is dominated with juniors?...better luck next year Steve, keep your head up and practice hard.

I got to give a shoot out to Garrison Carr who went nuts to lead all scorers in the game with 26 pts, 8 pts higher than his season average
